Our ten full-time programmers work with a multitude of programming languages including Foxpro, Foxbase, SAS, Qbasic, C++, COBOL, EDL, Fortran, SQL, ASP, ASP.NET and VBScript.

Drop Shipping:

Franklin Press, Inc., in response to recent postage rate increases, is now offering a drop shipping arrangement whereby your mail may be dropped at a postal facility closer to your recipient’s address.  These postal facilities include BMC (Bulk Mail Center) and SCF (Sectional Center Facility).

When we truck your mail to either of these locations, the USPS provides us with a greater postal discount on Standard Mail.  This is in exchange for Franklin Press eliminating their need to process mail at a local facility and transport it to these BMC and SCF facilities on their trucks.

When we recognize savings for drop shipping your mail, we will pass these savings on to you less a shipping and handling fee.  The drop ship processing may also result in faster delivery due to the fact that it bypasses local processing and USPS trucking.

Drop shipping may also save you a significant amount by converting your First Class Mail to Standard Mail.  Please be sure to follow USPS requirements regarding certain items such as statements and other materials that must mail First Class.  For additional information on converting your First Class Mail to Standard Mail, please contact your account manager.

Intelligent Mail® Barcode & Tracking:

Mailers will get more and better information about their mailings. You will be able to track your mailing to know the exact date it was scanned out to the postal carrier for delivery that day. By having this information, you will be able to ramp up for customer service requirements, launch a follow-up telemarketing campaign, etc. The new barcode format is more appealing to the eye, easier for the mail house to create and gives you more space for your marketing message, all the while carrying more information than the previous method.

The new bar code is available now at selected mail production firms. Franklin Press is presently deploying the new system at both its Baton Rouge and Memphis production facilities. You will need to ask your current provider about availability. The new system will become mandatory in 2009, at a date to be determined, and the old system will no longer be accepted for postal automation. It is recommended that you begin using the new technology well before the mandatory date.
